We’re building the digital platform for just-in-time port call and berth planning — simplifying coordination between terminals, vessel operators, and all port stakeholders in real time. Our SaaS platform is live, growing, and operating across Container, Ro-Ro, and Bulk terminals worldwide.
As a Sales & Business Development Manager (m/f/d), you take full ownership of customer relationships and actively shape how we sell. Working closely with our founders and product colleagues, you turn market feedback into commercial traction and help build the foundation for how we scale as a team.

What you can expect
- Own the Full Cycle - 360°: You run the whole show - from identifying and qualifying leads, booking your own meetings, running product demos, to negotiating and closing the deal.
- Build the Machine: Help us establish and sharpen our sales processes, playbooks, and tools. You’ll have real input into how we scale - not just execute someone else’s script.
- Identify Opportunities: Proactively reach out to potential customers and partners across the maritime ecosystem - terminals, vessel operators, agents, port authorities - and make them genuinely excited about heyport.
- Negotiate with Confidence: Handle pricing conversations and contract agreements with clarity and a sense for what’s fair for both sides.
- Show Up & Show Expertise: Represent heyport at national and international maritime events, conferences, and trade forums and build strong, trusted industry network.
- Stay Process-Sharp: Maintain clean CRM hygiene, structured pipeline management, and a continuous drive to improve how we sell - tools, sequences, qualification frameworks, all of it.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with our founders, product, and customer success colleagues. Your feedback from the field directly shapes the product and messaging.
What you bring to the table
- Experience in B2B sales or business development, with real exposure to a full sales cycle - ideally in a maritime, logistics, or SaaS environment.
- A genuine passion for sales as a craft - you enjoy prospecting, demos, objection handling, and closing, and you’re motivated to continuously improve how you sell.
- Confidence working across multiple outreach channels (e.g. email, LinkedIn, IM, and the phone). Cold calling doesn't scare you.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems, outreach tooling, sales sequences, and pipeline management.
- Fluent English is a must. Additional languages (e.g. Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic) are a real asset in our international sales environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, paired with the ability to listen, ask the right questions, and adapt to different counterparts
- Entrepreneurial, ownership-driven mindset - you’re comfortable building processes as you go, working with incomplete structures, and traveling internationally (a reasonable amount - we don’t live in airports).
